Japanese pianist dazzles
Young Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsuji has dazzled an audience in Russia. The blind musical talent performed Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto with a Russian orchestra led by famous conductor Valery Gergiev. More than 1,300 people attended the performance in the far eastern city of Vladivostok. Tsuji was delighted his performance was warmly received*.

HondaJet sales soar
Honda Aircraft says its HondaJet has been ranked for the first time as the most-delivered jet in its category in the first half of this year. The subsidiary of American Honda Motor said it supplied 24 aircraft to customers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe between January and June. Deliveries of the seven-seater plane began in 2015. Honda Aircraft says it has a global market share of 40 percent for jets with 10 or fewer seats. It says customers are pleased with the jet’s performance*, comfort, fit, and finish. Honda Aircraft plans to boost annual production to about 80 planes from the current 50.

The HondaJet performance is very impressive. The ergonomic seats for the pilot help in the fatigue factor that is so important when you have a long mission.

Total solar eclipse across U.S.
People in the United States looked up to the sky and enjoyed a historic total eclipse of the sun on Monday. It passed through 14 states from Oregon to South Carolina. It’s the first time since 1918 that a total solar eclipse could be seen across the U.S.

In Carbondale, Illinois, about 15,000 people gathered at a local university to view the cosmic event. Locals also held parties. Carbondale is one of the places where the moon blocked the sun for the longest time about two minutes and 40 seconds.

Good whether meant the eclipse was visible in many places across the country.
